What is Rancher
Rancher is a tool for managing the Kubernetes cluster both on its own hardware and in the cloud (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean). Rancher allows you to easily create and manage Kubernetes clusters from both web administration and Terraform.
Course Description
This course is ran in the form of a one-day hands-on workshop. We will try out and touch everything practically. Firstly, we will install Rancher togehter and I will show you how to manage it. Then we create Kubernets clusters in the cloud and on the premise virtuals. Both manually and using Terraform.

- Rancher installation
- Rancher Administration (Users, Rights, ...)
- Kubernetes cluster administration in GUI (creation, update, ...)
- Kubernetes cluster management using Terraform
Who Should Attend
Anyone managing Kubetnetes clusters and interested in more advanced DevOps setup.
Skill Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes
- Basic terminal knowledge
Technical Requirements
- Terraform installed
- Rancher CLI & RKE installed
- DigitalOcean account
- Access to the internet (https, ssh) - better without corporate proxy
